Tickets are going fast for the second annual “Roast & Toast on the Coast,” a Southern Living Inspired Event Weekend held October 7-9, 2016 on Bald Head Island, North Carolina.
Hosted by Bald Head Island Limited Real Estate Sales and Southern Living magazine, the weekend’s activities center around fine wine, craft beer, craft cocktails, live music and the best of Southern food. A portion of Roast & Toast proceeds benefit the Old Baldy Foundation, a nonprofit dedicated to preserving North Carolina’s oldest standing lighthouse. Last year’s events sold out.
The weekend kicks off Friday, Oct. 7 with your choice of a seated Wine Dinner at the Shoals Club hosted by Southern Living Test Kitchen Director Robby Melvin (21 and up) or a family friendly outdoor oyster roast at the Bald Head Island Club (all ages).
On Saturday, visit three open houses in the Southern Living Inspired Community at Cape Fear Station to get fresh design ideas. Then enjoy a late afternoon on The Common at Cape Fear Station with wine, beer and cocktail tastings, Southern food delicacies, and a special concert under the stars by “new grass” band The Midatlantic. During the event on The Common, Robby Melvin of Southern Living will be doing a special cooking demo that you won’t want to miss. Cap off the weekend with a delicious Southern brunch at the Bald Head Island Club on Sunday.
