Cape Fear Station
It’s a new take on the classic South.
Named for the U.S. Life Saving Station that once stood along the island’s East Beach, Cape Fear Station combines exceptional natural surroundings with an equally incomparable, environmentally sensitive land plan. The community offers a variety of settings for homes and homesites, including oceanfront, creekfront and maritime forest real estate.
Located at the heart of the community, The Common at Cape Fear Station is a traditional village green that plays host to pick-up games of Frisbee, Easter Egg Hunts and outdoor concerts. Throughout Cape Fear Station, a series of sidewalks and alleys connect the homes to each other, and to all the amenities within and surrounding the neighborhood – most notably, the Shoals Club, Bald Head Island’s oceanfront clubhouse. Every Cape Fear Station home is, at most, just a short walk to the beach.
The homes of Cape Fear Station offer a prime example of coastal Carolina vernacular architecture, with wide porches, deep roof overhangs, and shingle or plank siding exteriors. Moreover, every homesite – from oceanfront real estate to sites nestled within the trees – has been assigned a specific house style to take full advantage of the views and topography.
